The Sokolowski Family Fluke Fishing Charter

Today, I had Joe, his wife Janice, and there son Joey out on the boat in the Barnegat Bay for some fluke fishing. The weather was great, we had plenty of sun, blue skies, and the fishing was even better.

The first spot we pulled up to I got Janice and Joey set up. I started working on Joe’s rig when Janice set the hook on the first fluke of the day. It is always nice to start the day off with a fluke in the boat, too bad it was just short of a keeper.

Then it was Joey’s turn with the first blowfish in the boat. Joey was doing a great job catching the fish.

After that, Joe was catching everything, fluke, blowfish and then the sea robins started biting as well. It seemed everyone was hooking fish at the same time keeping me busy.

The family ended the day with two keeper fluke in the box, plus all the other miscellaneous fish they caught.

I want to thank them very much for a great day.

It was very nice having a great family on the boat.

Capt. David Steckley.

Fluke Fishing Charter, Barnegat Bay N.J.

 The Seltzer - Gess Family

I had a charter trip with a very nice family to fluke fish Barnegat bay
I had Sidney Seltzer, his son in-law Eric Gess, Eric’s two boys Jake and Ethan (aka Cheese Doodle), along with uncle Harry for a day of fishing.

We started the day late because of the fog in the bay, but after an hour or so things cleared up enough to head on out,
once we got out to our first spot I got everyone set up to get the cob webs out of the way and make sure every one was on the same page and knew what they had to do.

We then headed to my next spot and things where just getting started, the boys had some snapper blues, sea robins and a few crabs under there belts.

Then the fluke turned on and every one was catching fluke, all shorts today but they where having a blast catching there first flukes ever in the bay.
Not to long into it Eric has his rod bent over the side of the boat for a very good fight bringing in a cow nose skate about 12-15lbs.

Over all we boated 30-35 fluke, all shorts and a few skates.

It was a great day having the family out fishing seeing the multi- generations fishing together and having fun.

I want to thank them for a great and memorable time.
Hope to see you all again.

Capt. Dave Steckley

Delaware River Fishing for Stripers

The Brennan Brothers

I had Bill and Tom out on the boat for some Delaware River Stripers,
Bill had just came in from California and Tom came in from South Carolina and wanted to do some Striper fishing on the Delaware River.

The day started with us boating 20 something herring in about twenty minutes. The boys where herring catching machines, then it was off to find Mr. Striper
Between the two of them they boated a total of 7 Stripers and just as many misses on the hook sets, but it was all good fun and laughs.

It was great having them on the boat today.

Thanks guys.

Delaware River Fishing for Stripers

The Ruf Family

I had Bob, Courtney, and Helen out for there first time fishing the Delaware River for Striper.

The ladys where on fire, not only did they catch all the herring, but they hooked all the stripers that tapped there lines to. Helen was the first to hook up and then it was courtneys and bobs turn on a double hook up, courtney boated her fish while bobs pulled the hook.

over all they had a great time and it was a pleasure to have a very nice family aboard the boat.

Thank you very much.
